The Johnson Residence is a modern interpretation of traditional Southwestern architecture, sited on a full-acre lot at Sky Ranch in Hurricane, Utah. An exterior of natural rock and smooth stucco is accentuated by metallic architectural details and standing-seam metal roofing, drawing the eye toward the surrounding mountains and tying the home to its desert setting. A two-story stone entry tower anchors the composition, framed by stepped horizontal massing across more than 144 feet of frontage.
Inside, soaring ceilings and an exposed balcony expand the open-concept living area, where sliding doors at the front and rear dissolve the line between indoors and out — extending to a covered patio, pool, and rooftop entertaining deck above. Beyond the 4,134 square feet of living space and three bedroom suites, a dedicated hangar, RV garage, and private taxiway let the owner move seamlessly from air to land, a rare retreat built for both refinement and adventure.
